Tong Xin is currently a professor at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). His research interests involve the rational design and synthesis of colloidal quantum dots for optoelectronic applications. He is now chairing several national/provincial funding including the National Key R&D Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China and Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Programs. He has published over 70 SCI papers in internationally renowned journals with a total citation over 3300 times and h-index of 31. He has been awarded the 2021 Sichuan Province "Tianfu Emei Plan" Youth Talent, 2020 Forbes China 30 Under 30, 2019 UESTC "Hundred Talents Plan" and the 2020 gold award of "Invention, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Award" from China Invention Association. He is serving as the deputy editor of Alexandria Eng. J. (Elsevier, IF: 6.8) and the young editorial board member of Carbon Energy (Wiley, IF: 20.5) and Electron (Wiley).
